2002 San Francisco Middle School Science Fair at the Randall Museum

San Francisco, CA, at the Randall Museum

Three projects from the Science Buddies program at Lawton Middle School competed at this fair. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners competed at the San Francisco Bay Area Science Fair.

  • 2nd Place, Physical Science  Team Darwin: Viscosity (involved dropping objects in liquids)
  • 4th Place, Biological Science  Team Fleming: What kinds of food do hamsters crave most? (involved a maze)
  • 2nd Place, Behavioral Science  Team Kelvin: Does male & female perception differ from one another? (involved optical illusions)

26 schools were represented. Below are some of the prizewinning projects.
